They used to be a major form of entertainment. In the American South people would come from miles (or hundreds of miles) around to watch a good lynching, take photos, with the body, make recordings of someone being burned to death. And of course they brought the kids---it was a family outing.

Correct. And they often took souvenirs; a finger, a toe, nose, etc. My grandfather once told me where a man, woman and child had been lynched, and the local storekeeper kept their fingers in a jar of formaldehyde, so that visitors could view them.

My qualifications are.....I am a excellent marksmen with both bow and firearm.....good with edged weapons( I have my own) and is good at tying knots.
