I personally am not a lover of spicy foods - pepper yes but not other spices, but to assume that only Asians enjoy spicy foods is certainly a misunderstanding. In the U.K., oriental take-aways (Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc., etc.) well outnumber our traditional fish & chip shops these days

I'm related to the Cajuns and definitely have a taste for spicy food! I just returned from a 2 week vacation in New Mexico and they are no slouches when it comes to spice, either!
When I'm in a Thai restaurant and they ask how hot... from 1 to 5?
I tell them, "10" :-)

There's always someone somewhere who love spicy food, not only Asian. I'm Asian, I love spicy food, but my stomach rarely agree with my appetite~
