geezzz..i would lean towards no. i've watched too many Spencer Tracey movies, too many Sidney Poitier, too many Paul Newman movies (The Verdict, for one) to give Steve the nod. just my little opinion however

Question grammar aside, no, a great actor yes, but not one of the greatest. Like Marilyn Monroe most of his fame derived from his lifestyle not from his acting ability.

imho, yes, I'm not saying he was a bad actor, he was a great actor but he was no Laurence Olivier. He's well remembered for his love of racing and cars, fast women and faster cars as friends said, he is not however widely remembered for his acting skills rather the films he acted in. My opinion, not fact, how you regard him is your opinion. I consider him a great actor but not one of the greatest. I respect yours.
