From the desc<x>ription, it sounds like the policeman was justified in his decision to use the taser in this instance. I'd think the parents ought to be thankful they still have a daughter rather than going after the policeman in a civil suit.
If you can't disarm a wounded eight year old without shooting it with a taser I think you really need to ask if you're in the right line of work.
The situation changed the second the girl pointed the knife at the cop. Her parents should send the cop a thank you card that he only tazed her, he could have shot and killed her.
Yes. She's 8 years old. If the officer couldn't contain the situation without force then he must absolutely suck balls at being an officer. It's not that hard. How does he handle his own kids if he has any? Does he tase them too? He's a worthless pig.
Why not, If she did eff herself up, the cops would have been in deeper poop.<br />
Tase her twice, if she missed the first hint.
The parents should be so lucky they did not shoot her<br />
The police should have put the hose on her or give her a new barbie doll
Seems like over-reacting. Cops tend to do that. Around here they just shoot people.
no taser!!! how does an 8 yr old get that bad..what is up W/ the parents??!!
i'd rather have a tasered daughter than a hurt cop or dead child. This is hardly a normal circumstance. Before anyone bemoans the fact that it was an 8 yr old...even children can be dangerous and unpredictable when angry or out of control.
