    yes, many do... to vent and for sympathy...others cannot comprehend a realistic answer...others have absolutely no problem solving skills...and still others have not learned to look within rather than to the outside for the answers...misery loves company.....

    Yes basically. Having someone actually listen to you is important than getting advice imo

    How weird. I JUST said something similar in response to another question. I think many of us see the solution but it's just not quite satisfying or find it's not quite within our grasp...yet. :)

    Sometimes...I think some people can't move on or are too afraid too. And others simply like the drama. Or...some need to talk it out to find a solution.

    Yes. Very true. Sometimes just talking something through helps a person to solve their own problems. Being a good listener is a skill and a kind thing for a friend to do.

    I think people need to vent their feelings and have someone who's willing to listen. I think people would like to think there are solutions to all their problems, and there might be. But the main thing is to unload some of those things weighing on you so it doesn't just completely crush you and leave you immobilized.
