YES: most minimum wage jobs ARE hard .... people on their feet all day , serving others , lifting boxes , unloading trucks , digging ditches , cleaning septic tanks , etc etc .... BUT;it is called RESPONSIBILITY >>>> when you need to pay rent, buy groceries, pay insurance and utilities .... you don't BUM off of parents and /or friends ... you get any job you can so you can be independent ...

It's the hardest outside high stress jobs in medicine, if you ask me. But it is more physically demanding than mentally.

A general answer is "yes," because it is non-skilled labor. That said, it always depends on the employer. In my younger days I worked for less than minimum wage, but I loved my job! So, ask questions regarding the job. You'll know.

It depends on the work. I used to work for minimum wage at a grocery store bagging groceries and pushing carts, and there was nothing hard about it. It was occasionally annoying, and, during the hot summer, a bit physically distressing to be out on the parking lot, but all told, it was an easy job, especially given the diminished expectations of minimum wage work; a person with half a work ethic is, relatively speaking, a John Galt.

Now, I deliver pizza, and my base pay is actually below minimum wage (though, I make better than that through tips). I'd say this job is harder, though one really works as hard as they want to; getting away with being lazy is easy. Driving is easy, but that's not all we do, and adding the element of navigating in often unfamiliar territory with trying to be fast can make it stressful. Once again, though, one can work as hard as they want. I can be slow and lazy if I feel like it. I usually work hard because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and impatient, and I'd like to think it makes me more money (by taking more runs than the other drivers if nothing else).

Judging by my experiences working in the store making pizza, I think minimum wage jobs like working at a fast food place could entail very hard work indeed, and I wouldn't want to do it.

Wages have more to do with how many people can be found to do the job, rather than how easy or hard it is.

No most minimum wage is just stroking kittens all day, that kind of thing.
