I am not convinced that there is any such thing as a "co-incidence."

I don't think the two have ANYTHING to do with each other.

It might be a matter of the correct words, but I'm going to keep it simple and say ONE.

Um...more than one?

It depends on what co-incidences you are talking about..somethings are far to vague to mean anything.

3 or 4. To my husband. To me...10 and while we both acknowledge it, we say, not that's crazy....although it is kind of onvious, it is only a coincidence and we are definately reading too much into it!"

I agree with ecpc, you may have one coincidence that effects you, but you need to look at all the other strings of things that happened to lead to that coincidence... but that is the thing one can never determine.

I'll give you an example:
And I'm not doing this to be morbid but this ended up becoming a spiritual lesson for me.

My youngest nephew was hit by a hit and run driver when he was 4. He was flung into the air and landed bleeding and unconscious.

His mother, father and older brother were all there.

The father had crossed the street, thinking his mother would grab his hand and follow.

The older brother, followed the father, thinking the same.
The mother got out of the car and was locking it up.
My godson got out of the car, headed towards his mother, stopped. Then ran towards his father.
A car ran a stop sign and came barrelling down the street did not see him, hit him and kept going like he didn't even notice.
Time stops, there is a moment in time that is forever etched on my sisters memory (time slows down, she sees her son thrown into the air like a rag doll. And crash to the ground.).
An ambulance is called, he is rushed to a nearby hospital, that happens to be one of the best in the world for children injury.
The rest of the family is called and shows up at the hospital. He is in serious condition, we're told that he could have severe brain trauma.
It just so happens there are two people who work at that particular hospital, who are freinds of the family. One is a nurse.

(Here was my lesson).
When I walked in, I went to look at him, he was behind a glass window. Something deep inside of me told me, that he was spider-man (who was his favorite hero, and that he was going to be alright). I turned to all of those present and told them just that "He's spider-man, he's going to be alright." I'm sure everyone thought that I was crazy.

I just help him with his homework, this past Friday. His recovery was long and hard. But he is a great student and is exactly where he should be for his age educationally.

Now... look at all the events that just happened to fall into alignment.
Everyone thought everyone else had his hand.
But no one had his hand.
His indecision, then the decision he ended up making.
The point in time of his decision.
The timing of the car running the stop sign.
The coincidence of the location of the nearest hospital.
The quality of the hospital.
The friends who worked there and kept an eye on him.
The feeling that came over me, I've had it once before. And again it was 100% correct.

Put it all together and ask yourself, coincidence or phenomena?

Oh! One other thing, his priest had heard about the accident and came and prayed over him every morning.
