Best Answer

No it doesn't. There are plenty of people who don't know how to drive that don't have Aspergers.

Best Answer

I think you are wonderful to post on EP! never let anyone tell you otherwise. Not everyone has a license. :)

Best Answer

Why should you be a freak if you don't know how to drive? I don't know how to drive either. Does that make me a freak too?

Don't believe it if people tell you that you're a freak. They have insecurity problems.

Best Answer

NO YOU ARE NOT.

Best Answer

No, it doesn't. Just like everyone else, you have things at which you're proficient...probably even talented....and things at which you're not quite so good. Unless it bothers you, I wouldn't worry about it.

Ah. Another Asbergis man joins the club. Welcome on board.
I have Asbergis and drive and ride a motorcycle.

My eldest son has Asbergis and is a mathematical genius but has no aptitude for driving.

My second son has Asbergis and will never drive but is out of this world on guitar and all self taught.

Son number three has Asbergis and is brilliant at nothing but can turn his had to most anything and make a job of it, including driving.

So what do you get from this? Asbergis makes not one dam difference to anything. Oh no. Hang on. It does have a tendency to create pure genius.

Oh by the way. My wife has no such difficulties and the least said about her driving the better!

i have it too but i think i can drive... but i never liked it so i dont i prefer a motor scooter going fast scares me tons!

Best Answer

No. Not in the least. Only these folk in society that think you must have a car. Some of us hate cars, some of us cannot afford them. Cycling is better anyway. Gives you more freedom and is a damned sight cheaper.

Motorcycles are pretty cool too. Except when they bite :-)

Best Answer

Yep. I've tasted gravel but I still ride

Best Answer

Sweetie, if you are a freak...Let that freak flag fly and stop judging yourself-there are so many other jerks who will try that for ya"

I had my license taken away at 44 b/c of a seizure disorder; so I am stuck with my Sweet, Patient Dad driving me around.

Best Answer

Thats harsh. Sorry to hear that.

Best Answer

Nope, I'm 18 and "normal" and don't drive. Basically because no one I know has a car, but that's a different story.

Best Answer

No, why would you think that

Best Answer

Move to New Jersey, you'll fit right in. Don't know what having 'aspergers' has to do with it, but even the 'so called' good drivers in this state "Suck".Just walking on the sidewalks around here, you have to keep asking yourself, "Do I feel lucky today?"

Best Answer

Nope. Not at all.

Best Answer

My grandmother and grandfather never knew how to drive and they're 'bout 88! Anyway, a 'freak' is classed as a 'freak' if they LOOK either weird or funny. You were born with it, you are born with it. You had it sometime in your life, you got it sometime else. But you have just got a disability. Try to not let it take over your life!

Best Answer

You are not a freak...you are human, with human flaws. We all have something that keeps us from doing what we think we could if we were "normal".

Best Answer

Nope. Lots of folks can't drive for medical reasons. Folks with epilepsy for example. My oldest son can't drive. Just means you don't drive, honey. That's all.
