Please tell me a good program for kicking off virus.?

I am using a program-Brav. It said there is about 180 virus in my computer. But after ten minutes scanning and 3 minutes restarting, there are still 173 virus although the first time, it said " killed all". I have done it many times but get the same result. I need some advices
I have not downloaded any new program so I don't think it is affected from downloading.

If you want to not have to worry about viruses ever, then I would suggest get a linux distro, it's a Windows alternative that is know for it's security.
Distrowatch.com is a good website to look at different versions of it, and most types have what's called a LiveCD, which let's you try it out before actually installing.
I would recommend Ubuntu because it can detect your My Documents folder and setting from most Windows installations.

If you don't want to do that and just want to keep windows though, I would suggest Avast! or AVG, you can find both at download.com

I use Norton 360. Haven't had a problem....

AVG Anti-virus. It's free. :3

('Course, I'm using the paid version with a firewall. Like, $90 for two years, I think it was. @_@)

I am using the paid for version of AVG - version 8, as my virus protection. I don't know how good it would be at getting rid of viruses already on your computer; but it seems to do the job of scanning email and programs effectively without slowing the computer down too much (like Norton).
