Question for Strep throat.....
Alright so I'm recovering from a bad case of strep throat. My throat still isn't 100% but its improving everyday. And I'm supposed to be taking medication for it for the next 5 days even if every symptom is gone before. I was wondering if it would be alright to get back to my running and working out routine? I don't know if running would improve it or make it come back??? By the way I'm a regular runner.

Keep the antibiotic going the full course. run if you can handle it. It will not cause it to relapse.

Sure...moderate exercise while sick actually helps. Just listen to your body.

If you have been on antibiotics for 48 hours you should be fine to anyone else. If you feel better do it.

My son is going through the same thing. And he is asthmatic and a runner. Strep is in your throat. Not your lungs. Keep taking your medication and run if you feel up to running. No reason not to unless you are running a fever. Then you may need a stronger antibiotic. Go run. We asked the doc. That's what he said.

running wont hurt you any at this point, and antibiotics dont require you to become a couch potatoe.
