Do they fear having moral responsibility? Does the thought of having to own up for their own actions and behaviors withoit some god legitimizing their choices just overwhelm them?

I think I qualify as a realityist. I think it's because the world is a very large and complicated place. For some it's a nuisance, and for others it can cause anxiety or even terror. Simplifying things pleases many people. Sadly, the simplification often becomes more important than reality in these cases, and actively deprives some of the ability to see how beautiful the universe really is. I mean, it's truly astounding!
