Recently, one of my old class mate passed away. Her mother then got control of her facebook account. Should I unfriend?

To be precise: Her ma is not using it for social purposes or anything, but looking at condolences, putting photos of her daughter.

You mean Facebook accounts don't die when you do?

I guess it depends on what she is doing with your deceased friends account. Most people leave them up to honor and share condolences. I have a dear friend who has passed still on my facebook friends list. It just nice, honorable and ok to keep them as a friend! Why wouldn't you?

I think there should be a way to report that as i find it disturbing and i think it would be so disrespectful to me if someone carried it on after i died

I believe the mom reported it and they gave her permission to use it, maybe for a while so people leave their condolences.

I think that is probably her way of staying close to her daughter. I also think it is a little weird?

I already did that. It was her birthday and I still wrote happy birthday (like all her friends and how much they miss her etc) then I was notified that my message was liked by her! I messaged to enquire who it is and it turned out to be her mother. I did say encouraging words to her.
