Richard Dawkins says God IS a scientific question. I agree. What do you think?

God actually spoke to me this morning and informed me that Richard Dawkins is a spiritual question.

And unlike the dogmatic religious *and* atheist sheep, I just laughed at the idea and remembered the futility of when I used to go around saying things like, "This IS a type of THIS". For someone who doesn't believe in "god", Dawkins sure does make a lot of money off of him. In that way, he's kind of like a televangelist. His followers just drink a different flavor of KoolAid.

Science and religion are both comprised solely of one thing...

Theories! God is a theory. The atom is a theory. God theoretically impregnated a virgin. Newton theoretically had an apple fall on his head!

It's all theory. It's how you decide to apply the theories to your life... I've personally seen the theory of gravity fail! I've also seen the theory of God turn good people into zombies...

What you do with the theory is up to you - I don't apply either, I remain in balance with nature...

I think God is God, a scientific question is just a question and that 'What do you think?' is also just a question.

God, an infinite being, is going to be identified or validated by science? Even if this was possible, we would still be bound up by our finite understanding of science. Also, the laws of physics do not apply to God by the very definition of Godness. There is not some higher law that God must adhere to. If this is the case, the only way to answer the "God question" is to know God Himself. Since He is infinite and we are not; it will take us an eternity to answer this question by way of getting to know Him.

This is the problem with any religion which includes atheism. Forcing the unknown into a cast that is manmade. Egotistical.

God is a Spiritual person and deserves our respect.

I think science is doing a brilliant job in explaining to us that there indeed is a God. I don't think that organized religion is doing quite as good a job in lending a hand to the belief that science is perhaps the most important tool humanity has cultivated. I think the two are unified, without one, the other would be hard to believe. I have not read what Richard Dawkins has written, but my understanding is that the whole idea of a higher being with a pre planned destiny for all living things is somewhat scientific. That, or none of us here can quite explain what God really is. Well, maybe Steven Hawkins can:p

How does he know what kind of question God is if he doesn't believe in God and therefore not knowing anything about God?

I'm agnostic so I probably don't give a sh*t (chuckle) But I agree w/ MisTiti in that everything is a scientific question. Besides didn't Cap. Kirk answer this?

There are those who say that Science and Religion are moving closer together. (Check out a book called the Dancing Wu Li Masters). Every scientific breakthrough requires a leap of faith. There is something that must take you from the known to discover the unknown. Science seeks to prove and is applied logic. Currently, God is beyond the ability to be measured and proven by science. But who knows, if science continues to advance, some day it may be something that science can prove.

For all that it is science is still in it's adolescence stage. There is soooooo much out there that is still unknown.

wish this would all go away,maybe we would all be able to get along.dawkins making money is not bad.and no one could prove either way if there is a god or not.so i wish it would all go away.
