Paul Ryan is a good choice in my opinion. He has the knowledge and can talk about it. The only bad thing about it is the House of Representatives is losing one of the few members that is competent and has sense.

Viewed from Australia, that Romney bloke appears to be the slimiest turd that ever ran for public office!

It doesn't matter. Obama is owned. Romney is owned. Its just a dog and pony show.

Ryan's speech today sounded nice, though it lacked meat.
speaking from the outside, looking in, Romney doesn't need to court the more extreme right, he needs to appease the moderates...i don't see how this is going to swing any of the undecided voters his way

It doesn't matter. He's going to get his head handed to him in November, so it doesn't matter who he has for his running mate.

I honestly don't think anyone Romney could have chosen would do him any great help. They could only hurt, and this probably hurts less than others.

I like that he has ideas about debt reduction. No one really seemed to be taking that seriously. Maybe his first plan was too extreme. But the US does have to figure it out in the next four years. It can't fester.

Seems like a decent choice. Hopefully it stays seeming that way.
