Resolved Question

She's always in pain and it hurts me to see her like this..?

My mother has a lot of health problems. I wouldn't begin to be able to list it all. but the worst is that she has heart problems. she don't get blood to the top of her heart. she's always in pain from her back hurting her and her hips because she has fibromyalgia and she can't really do anything. I am always so worried about her and i wish there was something i could do to help her. She has been on a ton of medicine and on more that 19 differnent medications right now. Two of which are morphine and trying her on Methadone which also does nothing. anyone know of anything that can help her pain???

Speaking from experience there's not always a lot that anyone can do. Watching someone in pain or discomfort like that is hard but chances are, your mother knows there's not a lot that you can personally do to help her. All I can suggest is for the fibromyalgic pain, try heat-hot shower/bath or wheat pack.
This is a poem I found that I added to my blog.

Don’t tell me that you understand.
Don’t tell me that you know.
Don’t tell me that I will survive,
How I will surely grow.
Don’t come at me with answers
That can only come from me.
Don’t tell me how my grief will pass,
That I will soon be free.
Accept me in my ups and downs.
I need someone to share.
Just hold my hand and let me cry
And say, “My friend, I care.”

Hope this is of some use to you. I wish you both the best of luck.

She could cannabis, it helps a lot of conditions and doesn't have the nasty side effects that many prescription drugs do and it isn't addictive like methadone or morphine.
If she doesn't smoke, it can be consumed in baked goods or as a tincture.

That was indeed an wonderful, and absolutely correct poem,

now, if she has tried all those pain killers, all to no avail, as well as cannibus is illegale for your state, ask her to try a pain patch. I have been struggling with pian for a very long time, it is to date one of the MAJOR aides for me to get through my days. the medication is deliver through the skin, which reduces her pill intake. like all medicines, it has its side effects, but may be useful. another 2 which may sound different are, Neurotin, and cymbalta. either one cn be very useful for a variety of issues.
The last medicine, is not available from a doctor...
it is from you, make sure your mom knows you..believe her. makes sure you know she's not lying, and then, ask her what SHE needs. These last few items may not reduce her pain, but will at least let her know, that everyone doesn't think she's lying. trus me it helps!

I am like you my mom is always in pain, she has RSD, and I wish there was something I could do for her to stop the pain she is always having. She is on tons of pain medications! I do agree with forceofnature she should ask for a pain patch, my mom has one and it sort of works for her, but it does work for a lot of other conditions. I am wishing you and your mother the very best. Just let her know you are there for her, a lot of the time that is the best we can do.

There are pain management doctors who have many things to offer beyond what the family doctor can offer. Usually the pain management doctors are anesthesiologists.

In addition, there are pain management therapies of non-traditional types such as hypnotism, acupuncture, and meditation.

Each person is different in their response to each therapy.
