There is a new phenomenon growing here in the US. And it has to do with the Woman
getting on her bended knee, and asking the Man to marry her.

I see nothing wrong with it. If a woman wants to marry a man and doesn't want to sit around waiting then why not just propose herself? Some men even like when a woman does that because it takes pressure off them :P I think the opportunity should be equal. I don't see why it has to be up to the man to do it.
