Should i be getting this upset?

i was around my most serious ex's new girl tonight, and it really bothered me. i broke up with him a couple months ago, so i kinda feel like i don't have a right to be mad that he brought her around me. i don't think he was doing it to "rub it in my face or anything" just becuase he's not really like that but it still really bothers me. isn't it just kind of common sense that you shouldn't bring your new girl around your old girlfriend? or am i being too sensitive?

If you are a typical girl of our modern free to do all times, then yes, you should be upset. Why? Because if you are typical, you gave yourself away emotionally and, perhaps sexually, to this little BOY and you will never get it back and neither will your husband. PURITY. Oh, what a horrible word. Emotional PURITY. Sexual PURITY. Singleness of heart saved for one person. It hardly exists anymore. Don't even bring up religion. It has nothing to with religion and everything to do with human history and common sense. Feminism has reduced little girls to the status of MEAT. Sorry, call me a fanatic, but reading your post makes me want to cry... I have three daughters and they will all be hunted. The oldest has already become a casualty to some degree...

I would think that he should have been uptight bringing her around you. Some people don't think of other's feelings. Anything could have happened. i think you're right to be upset until midnight.

I would say that you might be a little too upset about it, but not by much if any. He should have at least asked you if you'd be comfortable with it first. Believe me, I understand.
Just don't let it impede you while you're getting over him.

Bit of both i think.....Its probly better than avoiding you altogether...In terms of contemporary relationshipping practices,..i would say its a challenging yet necessary turn of events...You have feelings,..so good on you,..but they need resolving,..and i guess its better to do that in this way....Who knows,..you girls may become the best of friends given time...You have a lot to gain from this scenario,....rather than festering like so many people do...It also frees you up,..to have a similar open-ness,..which when you see it that way,..is quite liberating and good...Good luck to you:0

i'd say it's completely normal to be really upset. i would be! and i don't doubt countless others would be as well. i'd say it's too too soon. i'm assuming you two must be friends now, though you've broken up... i think since you two are cordial, you two could talk about it. let him know it makes you feel a little uncomfortable and even upsets you a bit. honesty is always the best policy in my book. but... then again, i don't always have the best advice.

It's always hard to separate old feelings from new situations. It is not uncommon that you should feel jealous, just try to reason it out, it sounds like you have a pretty good grasp on the situation, just understand that with someone you have strong feelings for it may be difficult for a long time. I have an ex who I still adore, he is happily engaged and while I am a little sad, I miss him, I am very happy for him, his fiancee is very nice and I think they're good for each other.
