Should I Buy my Hamster A Lead?

May seem like a stupid question, but i found a lead with a little harness for Hamsters on the internet. It's going cheap. I thought of getting it because my hamster loves to explore, I want him to have freedom but i don't want to lose him. He has a ball, but it's not really the same because he's stuck in plastic. Leads are good exercise too so the website says.
What do you think? To me, it sounds cruel. But it's not as if i'm going to take him outside the house. it'll just be foor indoors. I love my hamster so much, i'm so protective of him. I would never be cruel to him. He's so spoilt. He gets everything.
Would the website sell it if it was cruel? It's a pet website. Please help. I'd love to get him one so he could walk to with me, explore and not get lost. But i don't want to be cruel to him.

UnidentifiedHobo	Posted Apr 15th, 2009 at 4:13PM Why BUY it though? Hey if it's that cheap I suppose it's ok.. but i'd have thought a piece of string would work just as well! It's better than trying to retrieve him from under/inside furniture. Why on Earth would it be cruel? He's used to being handled, I presume? Rated: +3Vote for this!
