not unless u are working in a hotel that rents rooms by the hour and is a flea infested hell tourism is a growth industry plenty of room for advancement at a hotel from event planning to hosting to problem solving

i would think that a mgmt position at arbys would be somewhat limiting but i do love thier food

Consider your pro's for each position and your con's -- the hotel industry is a very different industry compared to Arby's. Curious that you are comparing the two -- choose the direction that draws you and fulfills your sense of purpose.

I wouldn't, but it really depends on your personality. Managing fast food isn't for the faint of heart....you'll work hard for that money, managing teenagers takes a certain personality to do well.

Go with the one that pays more. Having managing experience will also be good to put on your resume too if that job doesn't work out.

a managers experience would allow you to branch out..you'd have to be successful at your position though...are you up for it?

i would have thought managing a food establishment required more expertise..you're responsible for the total running of the place and staff. am i wrong?
