Should I reply back?

I had this really close friend. I shared everything with her, and we cared about each other so much. The only problem was, she had a boyfriend that I really didn't like at all. Over the summer we had said some terribly hurtful things to each other because we were fighting about him. I knew he was a bad guy. He had hurt me bad in the past and meant it. Only a few days ago I learned that her boyfriend's parents split up and the two were going through a really hard time. I'd tried to get them to break up at the wrong time. I didn't want him to hurt her like he hurt me. She had told me she wasn't completely happy, though now I know the reason why, even though at the time she had told me I was the reason she was unhappy out of her frustration. A few days ago she had texted my name with three ... at the end of it. I think she was reaching out, but I haven't replied yet. It hurt me a lot to see my friend with such an asshole. I don't want to hurt again. Do I reply?

yes..find out what she wants.
I know it's hard, but try not to become too involved with what's going on with her and the b/f...let her make her own decision about him.
Just let her know that you are there for her if/when she needs you..that you are her friend and care about her.

yes. it's always a good thing to show you love her unconditionally. she knows how you feel about her bf, don't remind her about it. people need to learn from their own mistakes.
