Should I stay or should I go now? I am a lesbian and yet I am pretending to be straight...?

I know what I am attracted to. I personally love the female form more then anything in this world. I have tried to enjoy being with a male and even attempted to get use to liking their bodies as well. And it has not worked out to well, I have been raped, beaten, emotionally abused, and overall, taken for granted. Now I have a boyfriend who loves me and claims to want to spend the rest of his life with me... But I love women. I am just with him because I do enjoy his company, I love him (in the non in love with you kind of way), and I can have sex with him without crying though I can't have emotions during it and honestly it takes a large amount of coaxing to get my self to that point. I have talked with him in detail regarding this situation and he has left it in my hands. Ou relationship and friendship...its up to me...And I am just wondering if I should stay in a relationship where I am indifferent and not sexually happy or if I should go and seek out true love?

You can't fight that battle forever or you will rip yourself apart, emotionally. Have a lesbian romance and see how it goes.
I strongly suspect that your bad experiences with men have left you with a nasty aftertaste. if it doesnt work out, at least you will have seen the 'other side', for what its worth. And you are still young enough to let your emotions die down and make a fresh start, should you need to

If you truly are a lesbian and not bi sexual, then yes you should go now. Don't let him find you with another woman ... let him go and find happiness.

Let him go, it won't be easy, but it's for the best. He deserves to be with someone who can love him in every way. You can't give him that. Be honest with him, let him be your friend. Life is too short to pretend. Allow yourself an opportunity to meet someone you are in love with. Don't worry, you are part of a large community of people that are going through the very similar thing right now.

Stay friends if you can, but you have to be true to yourself. It can be a long, difficult road to walk, but in the end it is about being content with who you are and accepting that.
