Should I study abroad?

I'm torn between studying abroad and becom independent or study here and stay with my family

I really hate the country I live in right now, but in the same time I'm afraid of being alone in a foreign country
the university name is Western Ontario in Canada. It's ten times better than the university I'm currently in

If your local university provides the course you want....stay home

believe me, trying to study and hold down 2-3 jobs at the same time so you can afford the luxury of tuition AND food AT THE SAME TIME....can be far more traumatic than living at home......your time to spread your wings is AFTER graduation

Oddi	Posted Jun 3rd, 2009 at 10:35AM OK so you live in the UK. If you want to study abroad, just make sure that the qualification you get there will be valid over here if you want to work here. If you want to study in Canada, I suggest you get an emigration visa and a one way ticket. I have lots of relatives out there I havnt seen since I was a child, and I have never heard of any moving back! Rated: +1Vote for this!

Just make sure you have your ducks in a row, and manage your finances wisely. Study the host country so you know what to expect in terms of culture, personal safety, and cost of living. My office is at the gates of the university and you would be welcome here. Currently we have three students from China and they are comfortable here in their new temporary home.
