Personally, I think it is such an unhealthy place to eat... It seems they have an over-the-top amount of calories in their meals and suspect ingredients (apparently someone left a McDonalds burger in his jacket pocket in the basement for a year and when he found it, it was still all right, but not so much the bread).

No. People have the option to go there of their own choosing. If they choose to be unhealthy and eat at suspect places, despite the wealth of information available to them, it's their loss. Oh well for them.

I don't think it should be closed down. The occasions I ate there were maybe once a month- maybe once every six months or so. My self control fluctuated. No one is ignorant to how many calories are actually in their meals but all they have to do avoid it.

I do like fruit though: mangos, avacado, figs, bananas, grapes, coconut, apples, nuts, etc. Nutella on whole wheat rye is nice too.

No. People have the right to choose what they purchase and the establishments have the right to sell what they want as long as they adhere to laws and standards that the government set in place. People also have the right to know what's in their food and McDonald's should respect that.
