I don't say this lightly and will not go into great detail. But some people are not a mental as they appear. Most of the time the courts and experts can see through it. There are segments of humanity which have made themselve 'mental' by their choices.

For those who are truly mental, due to genetics or abuse, they deserved the appropriate level of compassion tempered with methods that ensure they do not hurt others in the future.

I think the prosecution should be the same, but the incarceration conditions need to be handled differently.

Violent acts within themselves is a mental (demented) act...if someone you love, a family member or a lover, was killed...would they be any less dead?.....

Tough question. I have conflicting views on the subject. For example, I think that anyone who commits murder is either insane or a sociopath. I would lock up the insane ones and execute the sociopaths.

Exactly. I have a dear sweet friend who has her challenges and she harms no one. I've seen so-called 'normal' people behave very poorly.

No, the world isn't black & white and this topic is very complex that people are still finding a "middle line"
