Should someone compare or minimize someone else feelings.

We all go through stuff and weather it's bigger more blown up in one's head does that make it right. Last few years have been kinda hell. for many reasons but does that mean my feeling are less valid because I dwell on them and choose not to want to keep making them. Their are many was of doing so but right now I think everyone should look back and say I need to cut this out or make it better . Question is how do you do that ?

Sometimes people ask for advice or opinions when what they really want/need is empathy. Those who question the feelings of others base it on how they feel. So their answers really are invalid and useless.
