If the people attempting to force or arrange the marriage are living where English law is rule and either or both participants in the marriage ob<x>ject, yes, English law should be allowed to intervene. If it's happening in a country where English law does not prevail and such marriages are allowed, that might be different.

There is a huge difference between forced and arranged marriages. <br />

There are different types of arranged marriage. There are those where the couple know each other and are happy to go along with the arrangement and there are those who meet to get married like on a blind date, sometimes they are happy sometimes not. If they are not then this is a forced marriage.<br />
<br />
The English Law system is there to protect it's citizens. Amongst other things that includes rape by a husband within a marriage, whether forced or not.<br />
<br />
So English Law is obliged to intervine.
