I am sick of blaming schools first. Schools can only do so much. Number one blame should fall on the parents, but in this case a parent turned in his kid.

but the system of the school is usually "we want to ketch it before it happeneds" and parents are responable true but we hand are kids over to a school system that we trust and they let this escalate

There was a similar incident on the Portland Oregon public transportation system where three older black girls attacked and beat a 14 year old white girl. The attackers and their mother who wasn't present but was somehow involved have been arrested, last news I saw the mother and the oldest girl were in jail awaiting arraignment.

everyone wants to blame someone else - that seems to be the current trend over th apast few decades.
high time individuals are held fully accountable for their own actions
lock up the perpetrators for a week or better yet how about a weekend in the pillory in the town square.
sure the parents and the school can both be blamed but all that does is let the kids themselves off the hook
though maybe putting the parents and a few school officials in the stocks for a day would not be a bad idea either.

If the school takes reasonable care to prevent school violence, no. The students who planed and executed the assault are to blame and should be held accountable.
