Why,certainly,I want to trade in a constitution that is the envy of the world to support a corrupt outdated monarchy.Fact is America started life as a colony,a dependant but through the influence of itinerant preachers, who emphasized individual thought and the influence of the Enlightenment philosophers we came to A raised consciousness of our place.Just as an adolescent comes of age and no longer needs the oversight of parents to thhrive,so too did the colonies come to this "raised awareness",which is the true hallmark of revolution. This is the backround that led us to take on the greatest army and navy in the world-and win.Revisionist history is always interesting to talk about and anyone who misses Mother England overly much can always go back should they so desire..................................peace

Scotland claims to be 'independent' but sponges off England so why shouldn't the US?
