We've been through avian flu, swine flu, Y2K, two world wars, uncountable tornado's, tsunami's, and earthquakes, we've survived terrorism, been on the brink of atomic warfare, and seen the Doomsday Clock get to a mere two minutes to spare

I'm pretty sure this 2012 bullshit can go get ******.....

    An Apocalypse poem..

The vision of doom and devastation
Was swirling in the murky crystal ball
I was filled with fear and trepidation
When I saw what was written on the wall
And my eyes were weeping in the darkness
My aching heart was bleeding for mankind
As the windmills of destiny stopped turning
The brotherhood of man was stricken blind
The rivers were swelled by tears of angels
The air was poisoned by the devil’s breath
I saw someone crying in the moonlight
As our lonely blue planet bled to death

The tapestry of crime and confrontation
Was hanging at the foot of heaven’s stair
It was laced with threads of desecration
It was woven from the fabric of despair
And a cross was burning in the darkness
As the sinners were turning out the light
And the wraiths of the holocaust drifted
Through the black and everlasting night
A dark star was born up in the heavens
As the reptiles crept back into the slime
And someone was crying in the moonlight
As the devil was counting down the time

As a consequence of our aberrations
The bloody axe of vengeance was to fall
We should have read the book of revelations
We should have seen the writing on the wall
And the fear was growing in the darkness
As the teardrops were flowing down my face
We had sown too many seeds of hatred
From which we reaped a harvest of disgrace
I saw serpents writhe in boiling oceans
Crimson flames rode the surface of the seas
And someone was crying in the moonlight
Beneath the burning branches of the trees

It was time to exchange commiserations
And time to watch the setting of the sun
To grieve for the children of our nations
Who were marching with a funeral drum
And the dogs were baying in the darkness
As the prophets were praying in the rain
And the sacrificial lambs of innocence
Were laid bleating on an altar of pain
The mountains were crumbling into ashes
    As mother nature committed genocide
And someone was crying in the moonlight
I knew now who it was and why he cried

So now had come the hour of retribution
The feelings of remorse were far too late
The beast which brought an end to evolution
Lay whimpering in front of heaven’s gate
And a voice was calling from the darkness
I saw the night come falling from the sky
It was time to start the longest journey
It was time to look the devil in the eye
And as I looked back over my shoulder
The writing was no longer on the wall
There was no one crying in the moonlight
    There was nothing
    whatsoever
    at all

It is a good movie - I just hope that, should the harbingers of doom be proven wrong (on the day after), they all elect to leave the planet and stop talking bollocks!
