Should we be able to answer our own questions?

I've always thought it makes no sense that you can't answer your own question. If it's a factual matter, you can do research and find out for yourself. If it's not you often want to respond to others' answers.

anardun	Posted Oct 4th, 2009 at 8:00AM no. If you want to respond to an answer, then PM them directly. I've had people do that and it works quite well. If you want an interactive posting option, then you can post it as a story or group instead of a question. Otherwise, what would be the difference between the two? And if you were already content to do your own research, then why did you ask others? Questions & Answers should remain just that, not a kind of forum thread or chat box. Especially since the site already has those, so why duplicate them? Rated: +1Vote for this!
