Resolved Question

Should withdrawals feel like this?

My Dr. said I would be going through withdrawals , he said I might have flu-like symptoms or feel more anxious. I feel like every part of my body is in agony. Is this withdrawal symptoms or something else? (Withdrawing from efexor.)

Yes, it feels just like that - and since it's Effexor that's giving you withdrawals, you may also experience leg pain, stiffness, and shaking. Since you are under a doctors care I assume that you have slowly tapered off of this medication, right? If not, you need to find another doctor, stat! If you've properly tapered off of Effexor, slowly and methodically reducing your dose over a period of weeks, your withdrawal symptoms should be either non-existant or very mild.
Good luck to you !

It sounds exactly like what withdrawals feel like. You are not experiencing anything else to be worried about--withdrawing from a substance is different for everyone, but the symptoms you are having are typical, especially if you've been taking it for quite some time.
Be strong--it will be over soon and you will have successfully slayed that dragon.
God bless--
