    not really most have a rudimentary understanding of the laws but are no means lawyers or particularily knowlegeable in most legal areas

    Another Thing Is That Cops Aren't Required To Know Laws Out The Top Of Their Heads Is Not Their Job To Remember Them All... Is A Procecuters Job To Ensure You Really Are Breaking A Law. Because Is Their Jobs To Go Through Statute Books And See If Your Actions Meat The Elements Of The Crime. If They Don't Charges Are Dropped.
