Sick of always feeling bloated?

i feel bloated everytime... i have a GERD and endoscopic report said that i have an isolated erosion and mucosal redness at the pre pyloric (antrum).... any home/practical remedies for a bloated tummy? thanks

Drink lots of water. Lots and lots of water. Dairy and spicy foods often irritate the gastrointestinal system. Grapefruit and other fruits rich in vitamin C are good for eliminating water bloat. Bananas are rich in potassium, and are good for getting rid of excess sodium, which also causes bloat. Probiotics, like everyone has suggested, are great for promoting regular GI health. Good luck!

My mother has GERD....avoid chocolate, coffee, and tomatoes....for sure....they cause the GERD to act up....Do you take Nexium or something along those lines? Be sure to take your meds properly....If you aren't on any, Prilosec works really good.

Eat Activia yogurt....it balances out yolur digestive system in about 2 wks.

If you have erosion and redness, surely your dr prescribed one or more of the several meds for that. I take protonix and reglan. Together, they have made a big improvement in my whole digestive system. OTC Zantac is pretty good if money is a problem, but as irritated as your system sounds, I would really check again with the dr for some help! Have you tried elevating the head of your bed about 6"? Bloating has never been my problem, that's more of a lower tract condition. The probiotics are great for that, as said above. Some foods do make it worse. Keep a food diary and see what seems to bother you the most. That's good info for the dr, too.
