I think it is one step at a time to get to the point where money = free speech as it is here in America so that the wealthy can disenfranchise the other 99% of the nation.
How the **** did your conservatives become as insane and corrupt as our rethuglians?Like (1)

Yeah cuz free speech is evil and must be stopped and personal responsibility must be destroyed in favour of blaming everyone else and labling everyone else as "society".
Hate speech laws are a direct attack on freedom of speech. Many people view freedom of speech as an absolute right because we don't trust our fellow human beings with the power to decide which views are appropriate for us; we'd rather make that decision ourselves.
The arrogance, the eliteism of people who propose hate speech laws is demonstrated by the fact that they have decided that they are uniquely qualified to tell other people what they should be allowed to hear usually under some "incitement to hatred" nonsense.
Why is it nonsense? Well think about it if someone has gone from not hating to hating what's happened? Their thinking has changed. So "hate speech" laws are really thought control laws where our anointed political overlords can legislate on high which views we are allowed to hear, hold and express and which we are not, who we are allowed to hate and who we are not.
This all begs the question: what makes the guy passing the legislation so special? Why does he get the special power and authority to decide for the rest of us? Some of us don't think any human being or group of human beings is qualifed to tell another human being what their views should be and what they're allowed to say.
