I don't support Israel for Three very simple reasons:
1. Israel was founded on land the British controlled up until 1948 and called Mandatory PALESTINE. British forces left the country after Jewish Terrorists blew up hotels, british ba
2. They claim God gave them the land through Divine Mandate (and a subsequent slaughter of the Canaanites).Andrea yates said god told her to kill her kid, why is she in jail, but Zionism seen as valid? Also Apocalyptic Jews and Christians desperately need Israel's continued existence as proof "the end times are here".
3. I'm BY NO MEANS saying uproot the israelis and get rid of their government and move everyone out and turn it over to the palestinians. I'm just saying both sides will not rest until either they get every inch of land they want, or a war annihilates one or the other. It's suicide.....

I share the reservations about Zionist fervour and concerns over very serious conflict before some equitable solution to legitimate Palestinian demands is found. It's a period which can be sliced in different ways - one of which is as a monument to British Conservative aristocracy's imbecilic colonial meddling whose legacy has been trouble-spots all over the world. It is impossible to read Balfour's 1917 Declaration's "it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine" without feeling crushed by the irony of the outcome.

It's interesting to note Israel wont publicly admit they have nuclear weapons. J.F.K was concerned about the Israeli governments secrecy concerning inspection of its nuclear facility. After J.F.K's assassination, Lyndon B. Johnson apparently didn't follow up on insisting that the nuclear facility be inspected...Like (1)

Being anti-Isreal does not make you anti-semitic, it makes you anti a government which is like saying I'm anti radical Islam, I'm not against Muslims as a whole but I'm against the religious radical fundamentalist that pervert Islam.

It's more complex than just supporting Isreal and its an over-simplification to say we support Isreal we are going into war. The big issue in the middle east as of right now is the concept of power. Power is not infinite it is very finite and when Western ideas entered the culture in the middle east and woman asked to not walk behind the men in a burkah and not be raped and female circumcised they got nervous and the result is that they started hating America and the West. Yes, Isreal is a major factor but it is not the only factor. Religion in the right amount is a great thing in someones life.Like (1)
