So what does it mean when the two last fingers on your left hand go numb?

I have issues with my back, so for several months now I have not been able to feel the last two fingers on my right side. Sometimes my whole hand gets tingly. Now for the last couple of weeks, my left hand has been doing it. Anybody know if back problems can cause that with the left hand also? or should I be concerned with other issues?

It means you have a Cervical 5 disc radiculopathy, either that or some carpel tunnel/nerve entrapment at the elbow or perhaps the wrist.

I do know my right hand is from back issues. I just was concerned about the left hand.

like someone else stated it's either a C5 problem or an ulnar nerve entrapment. See a neurologist for testing, and have a cervical MRI, good luck.

    Ulnar nerve compression, likely.

You may have a pinched nerve somewhere probably caused by back problems.

Call me crazy, but I'm guessing going to EP for medical advice might be a bit risky:)

I know. I just figured someone might have experienced it before and know is all. I was nervous about my left hand going numb too. I'm making an appointment for a chiropractor today.

Since you hurt your spine, you damaged the nerves connected to your fingers, so the signals are messed up. Also, it could be that you have bad circulation in those fingers.

In my case, it was a mild case of frostbite from the 80s. When I get cold, they remind me of that event by going numb. It could easily be something more complicated, but more treatable, in your case. MD, DO, or Chiropractor might be able to help.

Its getting worse so you must get something done about it. Nerve damage is serious stuff.

I had that which lasted for about ten days. The two outer fingers of my hand were mostly numb
I think in my case it was from too much prolonged pressure on some nerve along my shoulder

It might be carpal tunnel. I'm not a doctor, though, and that's who you should be asking.

Could be nerve damage from a compressed disk. Ask your doctor.

It means your fingers are numb.

You probably have a slipped or bulging disk, or you're unaligned, go see a chiropractor.
