Although neither I nor my wife have had any affairs outside our marriage of nearly 35 years, I cannot imagine how committing an affair would make a marriage better. Personally, I think that answer is more "wishful thinking" than anything else. After all, if most people who do have affairs could have the wish granted of removing the affair from their lives -- they would choose to never having an affair in the first place!
Sorry for my long and winding answer.
Short answer: Affair ===>>> worse on marriage for both spouses.
an affair will never make your marriage better. neither will a three some. trust is always broken and is very hard to fix
If you're having affairs, you shouldn't be "married"...Isn't marriage the opposite of being single?....

what's the point of marriage if you're going to have an affair.

Affairs wouldn't happen if the wife or husband were who and what they should have been to the other.
