Taking lives has nothing to doing with being immature or mature, anyone can take a life, just because someone is mature or 'grown up' doesn't mean they won't kill someone. Murder is in human nature.

Oh god!!! You're right what have we been doing? It's unthinkable I dunno how I will live! All thjose poor flies, mosquitos, chickens and cows....Oh And those poor defenseless bacteria and molds....I'll never bathe or eat again....
