No. When I was a kid we slept separate. Still do on camping trips, etc.

I usually brought a sleeping bag and sometimes a rolled up mat to put under it. I only slept in a bed with a friend at a sleepover once because it was spontaneous and I didn't have any equipment with me. He was bisexual but I wasn't so nothing happened except fearsome Mario Kart battles and back to back snoring.

Straight guys don't have "sleepovers"... we "crash" at a buddy's pad and its usually the couch, recliner, or floor for the guest. NEVER sharing a bed.
