Stupid myspace friend request question?

I got a "friend request" on myspace today from an ex-boyfriend. Looks like he just joined within the past few days and has been searching people he knows through their "friend finder"
Now - I don't really have any bad feelings for this guy. I'd still consider him an acquaintance and would talk to him if we ran into each other in Wal-Mart or something (even if my current guy were with me) We didn't exactly have a "civil" break-up - who does?? But it's been over 7 years!!! I'm just not exactly sure if I should accept or not...
I really don't spend much time on myspace, it's just something I check here and there- have some other friends from real life/online life/even family. I don't write anything personal that he shouldn't read/know although I do put pictures up sometimes (again, not really a big deal) I'm not really sure why I'm even questioning it, other than I'm just a little shocked to get this request (I'd never have searched him out)

What would you do?

I would accept his friendship, though with reservations. I would keep whomever at arm's length & if you are through w/ him, just keep it casual.

I would accept it, sometimes with time we see others in a different light. Maybe you will end up being good friends.
