Spiritual realities cannot be seen or measured with physical means. We see the signs, the phenomena, the emanations.
How do you see and measure the love of your loved ones?
In the coming spiritual world we will perceive everything with our spiritual sight.

The answer to this question is, that material exists in many degrees of fineness (or density, if you like that better), and we in the Third Dimensional world - the "physical" - can only measure the physical density material, and we can infer some things about the etheric level - which is invisible, but has some measureable effects on the physical, such as electricity and magnetism and others.

The Soul Level is much finer than the dense physical level, and so the only way it can interact with the physical world is through a specially-made biological instrument - the human body (or other living beings).

So that's why human bodies exist - to be vehicles for Soul to act upon the physical level. But the body is only a vehicle; it isn't the Real You! (I could go on and on).

Physicist are working on it now. They have taken an atom and put it under a microscope and broke it down to electrons and nuerons and then subatomic particles and all that is left is energy moving in waves which is what they are saying is our life force....divine energy. We all know as well that energy cannot be destroyed. Scientist have also found a new mega organism that exists in everything, even lava deep with in our planets core. They are studying it now and I have seen amazing photos of it. I agree with the Physicists though on the idea that our existance is energy based. That's just me. :)

I accept your statement that we live in a material universe.
If you want a simile that works, you may consider a battery. It is a material structure which houses energy. The energy exists, but needs the material battery to exist. Destroy the battery and the energy disappears. Our material brain houses our electro-chemical mind. When the brain ceases to fuction, thats all she wrote. Without our supporting structure, we are literally history.

The 'substance' of a soul is an energy wavelength type of thing...A soul resonates like a musical note...Hope that helps a bit.

The soul needn't necessarily be one of substance. Its existence could very well be material on a parallel plane.

There is no god and no one even knows what a "soul" is it's just a word some one made up.

That we lose weight on death is a total myth.
That there is a divine energy at the quantum level is a myth.

I recommend you look at ants - they are a beautiful example of what is called emergence. As a colony, they exhibit enormous emergent intelligence in locating and protecting their colony, whilst individually, they are very simple creatures incapable of such feats.

Mind and soul are examples of emergent properties.

Sure, it's not the best news to hear that - but even more sadly, that it is not good news does not affect it's veracity.

not all matter can be identified in our material universe.. (dark matter) could be this.. or more likely we are just soulless.

God made usto worship HIM. people take the materials and replace them with God. if you do' not know the substance of the soul then where are your priorties fcused on.

Anyway, we haven't identified the substance of the soul because there most likely isn't one.

because the soul is not of this world

we don't have material evidence of God because he wants to see the degree of our faith.
