Pretty retarded to do it over the internet. It's a little disrespectful to the mom--it shows Cassie's parents that you really don't have the presense to be in her life.

If you want to marry this girl, and NOT be criticized by either of her parents, buy a plane ticket and see them.
(If you are planning on marrying the girl, you surely have enough money to buy a plane ticket to *properly present yourself to her parents.)

If it were me that you were talking to, I'd be like; "So, you can sit there and be with my daughter in person, but you can't come to meet her parents? There's something wrong with this guy."

Just shell out the cash and meet the mom. Cheap-o. (..her parents will probably also think you're cheap or flaky because of that. I mean..you don't have the "I want to marry your kid" talk over the internet.)

agreed, you don't do it over the interet.
but remember, If parents give you cr*p, just play it cool, because your wife will stand up for ou, and you'll stand up for her when dealing with your parents..right? This is just like my cousin Vinnie, and Chelsie, but they're a little younger.

I would talk to them in person....but, what the future MIL said to you, is just out of concern for her daughter...

I have a son-in-law, and when he said he wanted to marry my daughter, I told him that I welcome him into the family.....just never break her heart, and treat her with the respect that she deserves, and he'll never have a problem with me.

He told me that he would never hurt her, and always respect her....I told him that I will hold him to his word....

You guys have to understand...these were our babies....and in a way, always will be, no matter how old they get....

Yeah, not over the internet. Maybe go over in person and bring her some flowers because she is not feeling well?

If not close enough to do that, pick up the phone and maybe SEND flowers. Show an interest in her health and be sympathetic and kind.

Try to be her friend, show that you are a decent person who her daughter would be lucky to marry.

Do not contact Cassie Pearls mother over the internet. Go over to her house and present yourself in person. Dress decently and act like this is the most important *job* interview of your life! Your plans and hope to marry is going to change not just your life but joining your girlfriend's family. Be kind, sincere, and honest.

Good luck.
