Put on some head phones & listen to music you enjoy. People aren't mind readers, maybe they are just too into themselves to notice somethings bothering you. Tell them, give them a chance and hopefully you won't be further disappointed. ( hug)

find the quietest place you can or find yourself what I've wanted for a long time now,a sensory deprivation tank :) ok,this is NOT an invitation(:)) so don't misunderstand me but I am fortunate, other than hearing my upstairs neighbor's rocking chair once in awhile(must be a big one),I live fortunately,in a quiet apartment building and my apt. can be very quiet to do some thinking,in peace and I so very much appreciate it.Just find the quietest place you can.Maybe drive out to the country and sit and think,or not think, which is even better.Find yourself some peace.Empty your mind, temporarily,of all those troublesome thoughts.Hopefully you'll feel better and think clearer later. I wish you good luck!

I always go for a long walk in the woods when I feel like that but I'm not sure if that's an option for you.

Do you have any woods, or a forest around..when I need to clear out my head, I head for the woods.

Being monitored?, Are you in a lock up?...I ain't being nosy, just trying to figure out a way to clear your head in a monitored situation..that is a little rougher.

Some beautiful natural surrounding. If not that, then a quiet room, or a bath.
