sometimes hard foods like nuts can lodge behind the tooth at the back and break the gum seal it might not be the tooth thats at fault !!! ..... if it is the tooth - if you can tap on it with a finger and dont launch yourself into orbit then its the gum !! try gargling with any mouthwash with CHLORO HEXADINE GLUCONATE or equivalent in it - i swear by clove oil as well !!! good luck

it may be, but I wouldnt count on it. It may be a cold or infection coming on, or just fleeting pains. But your wisdom teeth should be coming in soon... mine didnt pain me at all coming in, I got them removed just as they were breaking the surface of my gums
