How did the Penguin die? He was bleeding quite profusely from the mouth and the actions leading up to that point don't appear to account for it.

he forsakeed the pinguins that helped him so they turned on him and after being blown up by batman he was to injured to survive on his own, but you never see him actualy die, he just floats into the water, maybe a return?
