The great psychologist Sigmund Freud once said 'America is a mistake, a giant mistake'. Was he right? Why or why not?

Freud was also a cocaine addict. I think he and his whole field of pseudo science is a fraud.

Just saying the "Great Psychologist Sigmund Freud" is a mistake.
It is a matter of opinion as to whether he was great or not. Personally I think he was a quack that was hell bent on making EVERYTHING relate to sex no matter what it was.Like (6)

He must have been an Obama supporter. He and Obama are as wrong as you can be. America is the greatest place on earth because of the personal ability to be what ever you want to be.

Not only it is mistake, it is a crime. First, it stole the land from its rightful inhabitants and put them in reservations, like cattle. Then it built its riches by importing millions of slaves from Africa. And today it has abot 1,000 military ba
ses worldwide to stage coups against elected chiefs-of-state, murder women and children worldwide and protect the interests of the same multinationals who oppress and starve the world and their own people in America. Fortunately this is ending and we'll be free of that giant mistake. Like (1)

maybe. I recall his son or was it his grandson Clement being a liberal m.p. And advertising chum or winnalot dogfood with Henry, his blood hound in the 60's.

Maybe Freud described America as a mistake, not as an insult, but as a compliment? you see, you could say America was a huge Mistake, because it did not follow the worn path of other Countries, it made its own rules and laws, gave people the room to decide what they want to be, and provided the opportunity for them to do so. So the "Mistake" was that America was never meant to be this way, it was expected to follow the examples of other Countries, maybe even make the same mistakes as them. So Freuds apparent insult, might just in fact be a compliment? you were never meant as a Country, to go the way you have, but you did, and have achieved some wonderful things.
