You could be experiencing something referred to as "intersection syndrome". It is a rupture of one of the tendons at the wrist, where it intersects with another crossing tendon. It can be caused by a severe strain of the wrist, typically while performing a twisting motion of the wrist/arm. It is quite painful and you have to immobilize the wrist somewhat to allow it to heal. there is no surgery for it. You can go to a doctor, or simply go to a good pharmacy and purchase one the the plastic reinforced wrist braces. It will allow you to use your fingers, but keeps you wrist from moving.

I experienced this problem several years ago and it was quite painful. Again, there is no surgical procedure to repair it, it has to heal on its own.

Geesh! You ask a lot of questions!
You can ask, but will they perform that task? Highly unlikely!

is it a break or could it be carpal tunnel syndrome? Go to the doctor and let him know you are having pains.

usually doctors will not rebreak something unless u waited too long to see them and it started healing incorrectly. then- yes- they will rebreak it and have it set correctly. warning: This hurts like h3ll. not somthing u would want to have happen. and 2nd: I would ask the doctor, not our lovely EP'ers. granted they are smart, i'm sure very few have a M.D. behind their name.

you might not need to have it broken and reset. you may have carpal tunnel syndrome. my cousin had it. they do a minor surgery to remove a nerve and the relief is almost instant.

If you have a pain in your wrist you need to find out what is causing the pain first. I've never known a doctor to do something because a patient asked him to.

No that would make arthritis set in so just go to the doctor and see what the problem is and go from there
