The question is really do you think people should be judged by their past or on who they are today? That is for you to figure out.

I am 55 and have done things that I am not proud of however not every one knows the whole story. If you want to know more get to know her unless she is the type that is a stalker ect.

we all do mistakes, ideally learn from them. No need to bring the old stuff to surface? We live here and now and it's an art for the person to forgive herself for what she did. It seems like she moved on? People seem to talk bad behind people's back, it's their own insecurity. I wouldnt worry about it. Then things seem to come up on surface themselves if they need to ... and they feel ok, it's not your worry, enjoy her company...It's fortunate to get on with co-workers

People do change. Its entirely unfair for anyone to keep someone else chained to thier past if they've used thier poor choices as a stepping stone to improve.

why mind what other people think or say about her? as long as she is good and nice to you, and you see her nice and good to others too, so why judge her?

Get to know her for yourself and make your own judgement of character :)

People always like to speculate about people. I would ignore what they are saying and form my own opinion.

I think 'the others' should mind their own business. Unless you hear it from her, you don't know if it's true. Personally, I would take her at face value, and be friends with her.
