I'd definitely replace it BUT not with that old poem !

I remember we used to have to stand and recite it at school.

What about Peter Allen's "I still call Australia Home"

Won't happen. That would mean they actually would have to do some work (oh, that word..) to make it happen. Won't happen..

Something by John Williamson maybe.

I cant see it happening however, it is like the whole republican debate. It comes up every now and then, we all get drawn into the debate, and then it is all forgotten about until the next time.

IF it ever gets changed (which is unlikely in any conceivable time frame) I highly doubt it would be replaced by any popular Aussie song.

Personally, I have no problems with singing our current one (other than the key it's played in) and have no interest in seeing it replaced.
