It is possible, though your skin is a lot stronger than you might think. More likely, it will grow out. I have bad skin which gets infected easily and pushes out piercings. (This happened to my belly button.) Your best bet is getting it repierced and asking for it to be as deep as possible.

I had mine pierced and it did the exact same thing! Unfortunately, I was advised to take it out and let it close up. It is rejected now which means I should not get it pierced again. I would consult whoever pierced it for you, and ask what their input is on it.

You might just lose it .. some piercings don't take and they migrate out sometimes it takes weeks sometimes it takes year but it happens. I have had it happen to me as well.
